These terms cover theplussidez.net and the podcast, newsletter and sessions described on it. Using the site means you accept them. The Plus SideZ is a production of Plus SideZ Media, based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Our guests speak for themselves

Guests are interviewed because their perspective is worth hearing, not because we endorse everything they say. Views expressed on the show belong to the person saying them. Where a clinician describes what the research shows, that description reflects the evidence as they understand it at the time of recording, and evidence changes.

Older episodes stay online as a record. Medication labels, approvals and prices in an older episode may no longer be current.

Sessions and support groups

One-on-one sessions and patient support groups are peer support from someone who has lived this. Kim Carlos is a patient advocate, not a physician, dietitian, nurse, therapist or licensed health professional of any kind.

In a session we will not diagnose a condition, recommend or adjust a medication or dose, interpret your labs, tell you to stop or start a treatment, or prescribe a diet or exercise plan. What we can do is share experience, explain how the system tends to work, help you organise your questions, and point you toward the research and the specialists who address them. Anything you take from a session should be raised with your own practitioner before you act on it.

Sessions are booked through Calendly and paid in advance. You can reschedule or cancel through the confirmation email up to 24 hours before the session for a full refund. We may cancel and refund a session at our discretion, including where the request falls outside what peer support can responsibly cover.

Our own interests, stated plainly

We tell you when we stand to benefit from something we recommend. Kim Carlos co-owns Cozy Butter LLC, which operates the paid Cozy Butter community, so we earn money when you join. GLP-1 Nation is run by Amanda Bonello, Kim's Cozy Butter cofounder. Plus SideZ Media is Kim's company, and consulting, speaking and sponsorship are how it earns revenue. One-on-one sessions and support groups are paid.

Sponsored episodes and any paid brand mentions are disclosed in the episode itself. We do not accept payment from a pharmaceutical manufacturer to promote a specific medication, and no medication maker has any say over what this show covers or how the GLP-1 guide is written.

Individual results vary

Where anyone on this site or the show describes their own experience with a medication, that is one person's experience. It is not a promise, a typical result, or a prediction of what will happen for you. Trial percentages cited in our GLP-1 guide are averages across study populations, and individual outcomes differ widely. We make no claim that any medication, community or session will produce any particular result for you.

Guest pitches and what you send us

We read everything, and we cannot reply to everything. Sending us a pitch, question or idea does not create any obligation on our part, does not make you a guest, and does not entitle you to payment if we later cover a similar topic. Please do not send confidential information or anything you consider proprietary. If we invite you on the show, we will agree the terms of that separately in writing.

Our content and other people's marks

Episodes, transcripts, written pages and artwork on this site belong to Plus SideZ Media. You are welcome to quote us with credit and a link, and to share episodes. Republishing a page or transcript in full, or using our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, needs our written permission first.

Medication brand names, including Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Saxenda and Victoza (Novo Nordisk), Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity and Foundayo (Eli Lilly), and others named on this site, are the trademarks of their respective owners. We use them to identify the medications we are discussing. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these companies. Publication and network logos shown under press coverage identify the outlet that covered us and do not imply their endorsement.

We link to research, press coverage, podcast platforms and other services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

Accuracy and availability

We work hard to get the medical information on this site right, and we cite our sources so you can check us. Even so, this field moves quickly and we cannot promise everything here is current or complete. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it. We provide this site as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it.

Where these terms apply

Approvals, prices, insurance and access described on this site reflect the United States unless we say otherwise. If you are listening from another country, your regulator, your available medications and your coverage will differ. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer protection law of your own country that cannot be waived by agreement.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
