About the show
Trusted answers about GLP-1 medications, weight loss and more
The Plus SideZ is a weekly podcast about GLP-1 medications, obesity treatment and metabolic health, hosted by Kim Carlos and Kat Carter. It began with an online community of people who had been prescribed a GLP-1 and given almost no guidance about what came next.
Guests include doctors, obesity medicine specialists, endocrinologists, researchers, bariatric surgeons and policy experts explaining what the evidence actually says, alongside patients describing what treatment is like in practice: the side effects, the insurance denials, the plateaus, and the parts nobody warned them about.
Episodes are recorded in Atlanta and published weekly wherever you listen, with a video version on YouTube. Every episode is free.
