Community
The podcast is where we handle the education, and Cozy Butter is where the connection happens. It is a place to meet other people on GLP-1 medications, ask the questions you have been sitting on, and build something steady with people who are somewhere in the same place you are.
Amanda Bonello and Kim Carlos founded it, and it lives on Circle rather than a social platform, so you can find connection without being at the whim of an algorithm. Cozy Butter is a paid community that Kim co-owns.
Why we built it
Obesity is a chronic disease, and most people are handed a prescription, told to eat less and move more, and sent home to manage the rest on their own. The appointment is fifteen minutes and the next one is three months away, which leaves an enormous amount of life happening in between.
That gap is where people give up, and it is not because they lack willpower. It is because nobody is there on the Tuesday the side effects hit, or the week the scale stops moving, or the morning the insurance denial arrives. We built Cozy Butter to fill it with people who know what all of that feels like.
We call it The Butter Way: care that treats the whole person, spanning medicine, nutrition, movement, stress, community, and knowing enough to advocate for the care you deserve. You are worthy of care!
What you get
Whether you are curious, just starting, somewhere in the middle, or in maintenance, you get people who understand it, information you can trust, and tools that help you make sense of a journey that can feel overwhelming and very lonely without connection and answers.
The community keeps growing, and members shape what comes next.
Community guidelines
Bringing people together is the easy part. Keeping a space where people are willing to be honest takes guidelines, and these are ours.
You have a place here. No proving yourself, explaining yourself, or earning your seat.
We are all figuring this out. We extend grace to ourselves and to each other along the way.
A space where people feel comfortable being vulnerable, asking questions, and showing up exactly where they are.
We can be hopeful without sugarcoating. We talk openly about plateaus, regain, changing expectations and side effects.
GLP-1 Nation covers this space daily. It is run by Kim's friend and Cozy Butter cofounder Amanda Bonello.
The community stays small and friendly on purpose. No one is judged for using medication or for asking a basic question.
